Although every patient is unique, most dental implant treatments follow a clear three-step process designed to restore your smile efficiently and safely.
The process begins with a comprehensive consultation and 3D evaluation with our implant specialist. During this visit, we review your dental history, evaluate the condition of your bone, and discuss the best options for restoring your smile.
Once a treatment plan is created, our office manager will review payment options and insurance information with you. After treatment is approved, we perform a final digital scan used to fabricate a custom surgical guide.
This guide allows our laboratory to digitally plan the ideal position, depth, and angulation of the implant. Proper planning improves healing, protects surrounding structures, and helps ensure the final crown looks and functions like a natural tooth.
At your next visit, the dental implant is carefully placed using the surgical guide. The procedure is typically performed under local anesthetic and most patients report minimal discomfort.
In many cases, a temporary tooth or restoration can be placed while the implant heals and integrates with the bone. This allows you to maintain your smile and normal appearance during the healing period.
Once the implant has fully integrated with the jawbone, the final crown is fabricated and delivered. The crown is custom designed to match the shape, size, and color of your surrounding teeth.
After placement, you will once again have the full function and appearance of a natural tooth, allowing you to eat, smile, and speak with confidence.
